About Me

Hello! I am a Data Science Masters Student at UC San Diego. I studied Data Science, Statistics, and Geographic Information Systems during my undergraduate career at the University of Washington. I have experience in analytics, Machine Learning and web development. Currently I am working as a data engineer at LightBox where I regularly build data pipelines and our data products.

I started working with databases at the UW School of Pharmacy. I analyzed admissions data and managed their prerequisite database. I often worked with the IT department for big database projects. The IT department and I partnered to overhaul the whole prerequisite course system for the school. We created a database of classes from all qualifying schools in the U.S. that match the UW Pharmacy school’s prerequisite requirements. We then connected it to the website so that an applicant can select their school from a menu and an interactive table with their school’s matching prerequisites pops up. This eliminated so much work for the admissions team since we no longer had to answer questions related to prerequisites and they received more applicants because it was easier for applicants to evaluate their eligibility for the program.
